Rev. Ron Browning is the founding pastor and Rector (Senior Pastor) of The Mission Anglican Church. He has been in ministry since 1995 and has been ministering in Pensacola since 2005. He earned his Master of Divinity in 1997 from Denver Theological Seminary and was ordained into ministry in 1996. He served as an adjunct to the homiletics professor at Denver Theological Seminary and has experience in church planting and pastoring in non-Anglican and Anglican churches. Ron loves to preach, teach, and help people come to know Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. Ron is a retired Marine and has been married to Deacon Lisa Browning since 1980. Ron enjoys Tennis and traveling to new places with his family.

Rev. Steve Abbott was hired on staff in 2023 and serves as the Associate Priest. He focuses on the areas of family, young adult, youth, and children ministry and assists Ron with preaching, teaching, leading prayer, celebrating the sacraments, providing pastoral care for the congregation, and administrative duties. Steve began earning his Master of Divinity at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA with plans to become a Baptist pastor and Army Chaplain, but during his studies he decided to join the Anglican Church in North America in 2017. He transferred to Trinity School for Ministry, an Anglican Seminary in Ambridge, PA, completed his Master of Divinity there in 2019, and began serving in parish ministry. Steve also serves as a chaplain in the Army Reserve and has been in the Army since 2012. He has been married to Erin since 2013 and they have two little boys. They love sitting next to the fire, playing with their chickens, and exploring the outdoors.

Deacon Lisa Browning serves as the worship leader and as assisting clergy. She married Ron in 1980 and has been in ministry with him since he retired from the Marines. She also works as a fifth grade teacher at East Hill Christian School.

Deacon Bud Williams serves as assisting clergy and has served at The Mission Anglican Church since 2015. He helps with weekly worship, preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. He also owns Williams Seafood.

Pam Beasley serves as custodian, caretaker, and the administrative assistant. She started attending The Mission Anglican Church in 2008.

Tony Gray was formerly the pastor at Liberty House intercity ministry and joined our team July of 2023 and leads our Chaplain Team.

Erin Abbott is our Children’s Minister. She has a wealth of experience working in nurseries, children’s ministries, kids’ day out programs, and daycare programs. She met Steve while in college earning her bachelor’s in Management of Health and Fitness and doing campus ministry. They have been married since 2013 and have two little boys.
